Spiced Pecan + Cacao Bliss Balls [Vegan, DF, Paleo]

Power through the day with these healthy cacao bliss balls.

For the bliss balls

  • 2 cups pecans
  • 2 cups almonds
  • 2 cups dates
  • 3 Tbsp cacao
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Dash of sea salt

For the chocolate drizzle:

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2.5 Tbsp cacao
  • dash of sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  1. In a food processor, grind the almonds and pecans until they form a fine powder. Add the dates and pulse on medium-high until crumble forms.
  2. Add the cacao, cinnamon, and sea salt, and continue to pulse until the texture is sticky and clumps together.
  3. Roll 1 Tbsp of the mixture into a ball, and place on a tray covered with parchment paper. Repeat this step until all balls have been formed. Chill in the fridge.
  4. Melt coconut oil in a double broiler. Add cacao, maple, vanilla, and a dash of sea salt, and whisk until a glaze forms.
  5. Remove the balls from the fridge and dip in the chocolate glaze with a fork. Place on the parchment paper-covered tray and chill until the chocolate hardens.
  6. Store the bliss balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 12 days.
