Until we have the opportunity to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, it can be very difficult to glimpse life through a different lens and see our own creation experience in an objective way.
Fresh perspective, in my opinion, is probably the greatest gift in the world. Why? Because until we take responsibility for the fact that we – all of us – are the only ones creating our own lives, little changes.
It’s recognizing that we have an important part to play in this world and the capability to do so which is the greatest motivator, I think.
That’s why I absolutely love – and treasure – spiritually-inspired self-help books. Written by captivating people who have surmounted incredible odds and transformed themselves, books like the ones that follow are read over, and over, and over again in my house.
Truly, we are extension of the One – God, Spirit, Creator – and are fueled by the divinity to create worlds, if we choose. It’s recognizing that there is a yin/yang in this universe and owning our responsibility to “do good” which creates legendary stories. Some of my favorite – and the ones I find to be most inspirational – follow (in no particular order):
