Your morning alarm goes off, and the first thing that pops into your head? “Slllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppp”. It’s okay, friend, we’ve all been there.

sleep1But don’t let the buzzer curb your morning high. Make these activities a part of your daily routine, and you’ll maintain that inner glow that is you. What do I mean by that?

You naturally thrive when you are balanced, healthy, and in good relations with your environment and those around you. Let these activities help you keep such healthy status.

1) Stretch

After a restful night, your body may be a bit tight. Do a few yoga poses (or set aside at least 15 minutes for a morning sun-salutation routine), and limber up before your eventful day.

You’ll become more oxygenated, and this will also help keep you perky without needing a coffee.

2) Five Deep Breaths

Inhale, Exhale. So simple, but yet so healing. Few get enough oxygen, so start your day off right with 5 deep breaths, and gain clarity, better understanding, and a healthier mindset.

3) Hydrate

Instead of reachingfor coffee to wake up, have 8-16 oz. of water in the morning. You dehydrate during sleep, so nourish your cells with life giving water, and you’ll have more energy throughout the day.

TIP: Add some lemon for extra detoxification!

4) Gratitude List

Want a blissful attitude throughout the day? Make a list of 10 things you’re grateful for upon waking, and you’ll naturally become happier.

Example:

1) Family

2) Beautiful Home

3) Job you Love

5) Tea, or Something YOU Love!

Set aside 5-10 minutes to enjoy something you love. If it’s having a mug of tea, wonderful! If it’s watching the sunrise, beautiful! If it’s watching a funny YouTube video, do it!
