Oh boy… How fun was yesterday’s? Okay, not really that fun since we only covered Pickles… but no fear – the upcoming recipes will blow your socks off! If you forgot…we still have….

Almost Raw – Potato Salad
Raw Bacon
Burgers & Fixins
Today I have two scrumptious, to-LIVE-for sauces that spruce up a burger or fries and make any burger occasion a date. Shall we begin?
Raw Vegan Ketchup:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cup Diced Tomatoes
3 Tbsp Dates (pitted)
1/4 Cup Oil
1 tsp Sea Salt
1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 Cup Sun-dried TomatoesDirections:
1) In a high-speed blender, combine all until smooth. Using a spatula, spoon into a dish, sprinkle some herbs on top and serve!
Growing up, I lived off of ketchup… This one’s competition in my opinion.
Second, what ‘Bac-un’ Cheeseburger gathering is complete without a BBQ Sauce?
Raw Vegan BBQ Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Sun-dried Tomatoes
4 Medjool Dates
2 Tbsp minced herbs (I used fresh Thyme and Oregano)
1 1/2 tsp Apple CIder Vinegar
1/2 tsp Mustard Seed
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
1/4 tsp Cayenne
**My additions: BBQ Seasoning (all vegan), Paprika, and lemon juice**Directions:
1) In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients until smooth. Using a spatula, spoon into a bowl, sprinkle some fresh herbs on top and serve!
I put some fresh Thyme, picked right off the bush, on this creation. Yum, yum, yum.
Really, when you think about it, it’s the sauce that makes people want to eat most food. Meat, Chicken, etc… are actually really bland food options. Why not get quality plant-based protein, anti-oxidants, and tons of nutrients…and still make it taste delicious!?
Tomorrow… Raw Vegan Cheese Slices. Yeah, that’s right.
Enliven your Life with Fruits and Vegetables!
