Do you actually know how regular good ol’ McDonalds nuggets are produced? Read a disgusting-fascinating article here and here about that!
Now, that wasn’t intended to make you lose your appetite for food, but instead make this recipe seem even that much more appealing. I bring to you….Raw Vegan Chick-N Nuggets!
Except…
*No baby chicks or unnaturally raised animals were harmed or utilized in this dish
*This version is very healing, light, easy to make, and is quite delicious!
* It doesn’t require weeks and byproducts of any sweet animals, just some alkalizing, vitamin-rich, healing nuts, vegetables, spices, love..and short amount of time!
Woooo, don’t you feel good about that? Okay then, let’s get to it!
{Raw, Vegan} Chick-N Nuggets
Ingredients:
3 Cups Carrot Pulp (stuffed into measuring cups)
1 Bell Pepper
1 1/2 – 2 Cups Almonds (ground)
2 1/2 tsp sea salt
3 tsp Thyme
2 1/2 tsp Cumin
1-2 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 1/2 tsp Nutritional Yeast
3 Cups Water
1 Cup Ground Flax
Directions:
1) In a food processor, pulse almonds until they are finely ground. Add in all ingredients except for your carrot pulp and flax and pulse again until combined.
2) Move all ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and mix together with your hands. (This is fun – and way cooler than when Jamie Oliver showed kids how nasty regular nuggets were made…see here! haha)
3) Once well combined, get your dehydrator sheets out (no need for parchment paper or Teflex) and form little chicken nuggets whatever size you like. They will shrink a little bit, so keep that in mind!
4) Put in the dehydrator and (I’m estimating) dry for no more than 8-10 hours at 105 degrees.
In my opinion, you don’t want them all chewy, but still with enough moisture to enjoy on a salad, pasta, or as NUGGETS!
Get creative, make a Raw Ketchup, BBQ Sauce, or Raw Ranch and enjoy these with your kiddos!

I love food like this because you KNOW you are contributing to your kids’ (and your own) wellbeing and longevity by choosing to abstain from hormone-containing, fatty animal by products and instead consuming foods that are perfect for your body’s health and detoxification.
To be healthy we must maintain an alkaline balance and opt for predominately plant based, unprocessed whole foods that are full of vitamins and nutrients, as well as fiber, hydration, and of course the special ingredient…. Love!
Eat foods that love you…And love them back!
Obviously you can tell from the many different ‘nugget’ pictures…I really enjoyed making these… Haha!
So there you have it! Please enjoy these amazing ‘Nuggets’ Without Chicken… and …
Enliven Your Life with Fruits and Vegetables!

It never ceases to amaze me how using different nuts as a base in raw food creations can give one so many different flavors and textures of food.
Hi Ken,
It’s amazing indeed!
Awwww was so looking forward to these but I don’t have a dehydrator. Any chance I could bake them? Thanks
Hi Julia!
No worries – they won’t be all raw, but you can still make them and then put your oven on the lowest temperature, crack the door open, and I’d estimate drying/cooking these for at least 2-3 hours. I’ve never done them with an oven so you’ll have to be watchful, though!
Blessings and Good Luck!
