An ode to salads:

Crunchy, vibrant, rainbow-hued.

Your benefits abound – oh how I love you.

With a different type of dressing,

every. single. day.

I could never – ever! – tire of you,

and you, nor of me.


How many of you are still with me? Awesome.

That’s right – salads are incredible mains (the real dinner prize!) that allow one to consume a plethora of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and live food energy in a tasty way.

All one needs is a dressing! (Check out archived dressings from previous recipes here)

Because I love you all and want you to have yummy, nourishing fare to keep you vibrant and light, here’s another delicious salad dressing to get you through the night. (Oh, I don’t think the rhyming stopped).

{Raw, Vegan} Creamy Avo Goddess Dressing

A delicious salad dressing to top your bed of greens and vegetables. It’s light and creamy, and feels fresh thanks to the bounty of herbs. Yum!
  • 1 cup packed avocado flesh (2 small)
  • 7-8 tbsp water
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 5 tbsp apple cider vinegar*
  • 3-4 tbsp fresh lemon juice, to taste
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup packed green onion (dark green part only, not white)
  • 1 tsp sea salt, or to taste
  • Pinch of cayenne (optional)
  • Sweetener, to taste (1/2 tsp agave or 1/2 date)
  1. In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients on high until smooth and creamy.
  2. Store in an air-tight jar for 4-5 days (if it lasts that long!)
  3. You can use this dressing on crackers, vegetables, salads, and other imaginable food items!

  5. [b]*Note*[/b] Due to the ACV and Lemon, it has a bit of a kick. If you don’t like as much tangy flavor, cut down on the amounts listed.
