Hey, friends!

So… I love fruit. I am all about that fruit. And, surprisingly, being in Africa, there is an amazing abundance of it (which I did not expect… though I am 100 miles away from the equator).

But, as I mention when teaching about flavor balancing and Chinese medicine, there needs to be balance in the five tastes of food we eat, as they affect our body in different ways.

And, now and again, you just need a nutrient-dense, filling, and super tasty savory smoothie.

It’s also worth mention that when you’re in a place like oh, South Dakota, you don’t have access to a lot of tropical fruit.

Not only that, the fruit sitting in the supermarket usually gets picked unripe, shipped for weeks, and then waits to be eaten for another week, at least.

That’s gross, as its lost most of its life force and nutrition. It’s pesticides and preservatives which are making it ‘look’ alive.

We don’t want that. We want LIVE, VIBRANT produce!

Which is why a simple, savory green smoothie is the perfect solution for those seeking to get healthy and use what’s sourced close to them.

Now, before you wrinkle your nose in disgust, know that although this smoothie LOOKS super green, it actually tastes quite delicious. And, it’s definitely worth the investment of time and produce.

Without further ado, here is the super green smoothie I hope you ALL will try out tonight and consume often!
