Writing up a storm for fellow alternative media sites, I stumbled across this gem and was like, “Ermegerd – must make”.

Well let me just confirm for you all – it freaking rocks.


I mean, how many times have you woken up in the morning wishing Grandma was there to soothe away your fears inhibitions of going to work with her yummy, heart-warming cinnamon buns?

Yeah – I see you raising your hand.


Now you can kick your own butt in gear as you lie in bed, thinking about this dreamy way to start the day.


So get on it sister (or brother), and do let me know how you like it.

Cinnamon Bun Smoothie

Preparation Time: 10 – 15 Minutes

Serving Size: 1-2



1 Large Frozen Banana (hint: peel, chop up, then freeze)

1/4 Cup Gluten-Free Rolled Oats

1 Tbsp Almond Butter

2-3 Pitted Dates

1 Cup Unsweetened (freshly made and raw is awesome) Almond Milk

1 tsp Cinnamon (or more to taste)

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 tsp Maca Powder (this is awesome for balancing hormones)

Optional: 1 Scoop of Sunwarrior Protein Powder (Vanilla or Regular)


Optional Toppings: cinnamon sprinkle, cinnamon sticks, cacao nibs, chopped pecans…


1) That’s right – blend all ingredients (except toppings) on high until smooth and creamy.

Garnish with your choice(s) of toppings and enjoy!
