If you remember from my latest recipe post, I’m changing things up a bit with Bloom for Life. I am so inspired to “do good” in this world, and I want to share more than just food. For this reason, prepare to hear more about other works of activism concerning environmental advocacy, animal rights, and human rights (such as what’s taking place at Standing Rock).
Anyhoo, today I am excited to share with you a glorious low-glycemic smoothie that has become my new staple. I learned it from my girl Sarah at Sarah’s Day on YouTube (oh my gosh, she’s awesome). At first, I was super skeptic. I mean, a smoothie that tastes fruity but uses zucchini as a base? Bleh.
But wait! It sounds weird, but it’s actually AMAZING. And, it is low-glycemic. So, whether you need to monitor your blood sugar, seek to lose some fat by maintaining a low-sugar diet, or if you just like how you feel when you eat more veggies in general, you’re going to LOVE this.
This smoothie is my go-to after I work out, because it’s loaded with protein and nutrition. Plus, it’s super satiating and easy to make. Try it out, tamper with the recipe, and let me know what you think of it in the comments below! (I love comments) <3

- Pour into a glass and consume as breakfast, after a workout, or as an afternoon snack for optimal results.
- Enjoy!
Want to know why I call this drink the flower of life? Because it’s oh-so-perfect, just like the symbol which embodies and explains the perfection which is inherent in the universe and, in effect, YOU. There’s a lot to learn about sacred geometry (one of my favorite topics), so I’ve included a super cool video below by Spirit Science. Perhaps you’ll watch the informative video while sipping your smoothie? 😉
