“Whew!”.. Have you guys been un-cooking up a storm? I know this has been a busy week for me but I’m glad to have been able to bring you all these scrumptious recipes. Today we’re finishing this week long fun-fest of creating a Raw Vegan Cheeseburger feast with my good ol’ …
Raw Vegan Burgers
Yield: 8-10 Burgers
Preparation Time: 30-40 Minutes
Ingredients:
2 Cups Walnuts/Almonds ground
3 Cups Shredded/Pulp Carrots
2 Red Bell Peppers
1 Red Onion
1/8 Cup Lime Juice
Slice Jalopeno
3-4 Cloves Garlic
1 Bunch Cilantro
(About 1-2 Tbsp each): Paprika, Chipotle, Salt, Cumin, Chili Pepper
2 Dates or 1 Tbsp Raw Honey
1/8 Cup Braggs Amino Acids
2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast (Optional)
Directions:
1) In a food processor, process almonds until finely ground. (In a large bowl, place half of the shredded carrots). Add in remaining ingredients except your spices and process until well combined.
2) Transfer ingredients to your large bowl. Add your spices and mix with your hands. You should get a sticky, well-combined texture. If it’s not holding up you can add 1-2 Tbsp of ground flax or add half of your mixture and process until better combined. Mix with your hands again.
3) Now you can either use an ice cream scoop and make burgers to your liking, or you can get creative and just form burgers to a size that suits you. They will shrink a little bit, so keep that in mind. Place your amazing burgers onto a dehydrator sheet without the Teflex.
4) Dehydrate 10-12 hours at 105 degrees until dried but still a little moist in the center.
